There was no surprise in Goodwood where 4th placedRockets (12-6) were defeated by first ranked Eagles (15-3) 69-53 on Saturday. Forestville E. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Samantha Simons (188-2000, college: SMC) who scored 25 points and 7 assists. Guard Ella Sawyer (175, college: Indiana St.) chipped in 9 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists. Forward Mollie McKendrick (183-1993, college: Boston U.) produced 4 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Brooke Basham (178-1997) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Eagles have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Forestville E. maintains first place with 15-3 record. Loser Rockets keeps the fourth position with six games lost.
