Very predictable result when fourth rankedSouth Adelaide Panthers (12-6) rolled over 10th ranked Norwood Flames (3-15) in Park Holme 109-90 on Saturday. S.Adelaide P. outrebounded Norwood F. 40-26 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. S.Adelaide P. shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Forward Lloyd McVeigh (198-2003, college: Buffalo) nailed 36 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and American forward Chris Brandon (203, college: NKU, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) accounted for 18 points and 8 rebounds. Brandon is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Guard Riley Harrap (-2000) came up with 19 points and 4 assists and Walter Mcbride added 20 points respectively for Norwood F. in the defeat. Five S.Adelaide P. and four Norwood F. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. S.Adelaide P. maintains fourth place with 12-6 record. Norwood F. lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 15 games lost.
