Regular Season Round 17: Inner WB - Illawarra H. 98-88

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Bulls (9-11) won against at home 14th ranked Hawks (6-14) 98-88 on Saturday. Inner WB made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Inner WB had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was naturalized Latvian swingman Kristina Moore (185-1999, college: Georgetown) who scored 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Naturalized New Zealand guard Tahlia Tupaea (175-1997) chipped in 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Moore is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Asha Phillips (180-2004, college: Idaho) produced 30 points and 7 rebounds and New Zealand forward Tsubasa Nisbet (183-2000, college: Georgia South) added 16 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Inner WB moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Canberra N. Loser Hawks keeps the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
