There was no surprise when 18th ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (5-17) lost to thirteenth ranked Blues (10-12) in Greensborough 91-108 on Sunday. Frankston B. had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. New Zealand forward Taane Samuel (200-1999) nailed 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and guard Kingsley Box (196-2001, college: SUU) accounted for 29 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Noah Todd (198-2003, college: CS Monterey) came up with 22 points and 5 rebounds and guard Aleksandar Bandilovski (-2003) added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Diamond V.E. in the defeat. Five Frankston B. and four Diamond V.E. players scored in double figures. Frankston B. moved-up to twelfth place. Diamond V.E. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with NW Tasmania. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
