Fifth-rankedSunshine CP (7-7) made lots of trouble for first ranked Brisbane Spartans (13-1) on Saturday. Brisbane Spartans managed to secure only three-point victory 89-86 . However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was guard Jessica McDowell-White (168-2000, college: USF) who scored 22 points. Taylah Simmons (185-1997, college: Southeastern) chipped in 12 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four Brisbane Spartans players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Erin Bollmann (180-1994, college: SEMO) who recorded 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and her fellow American import center Shannon Ryan (193-1997, college: St.Anselm) added 18 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Brisbane Spartans have an impressive six-game winning streak. SD Spartans maintains first position with 13-1 record, which they share with Logan T.
