There was no surprise in Brisbane where 11th rankedCapitals (3-11) were defeated by eighth ranked Wizards (5-9) 100-92 on Saturday. Northside W. made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international swingman Courtney Woods (183-1997, college: NIU) scored 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and Alice ODriscoll chipped in 22 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Ashley Arlen with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Tyla Stolberg (188, college: Newberry) scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
