Third-rankedCougars (12-7) made lots of trouble for first ranked Cougars (19-2) in McKinnon on Saturday. The visitors from Keysborough managed to secure only one-point victory 93-92 . However their fans expected easier game. Keysborough looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American point guard Anthony Williams (178-1995, college: Clark Atlanta) fired 32 points and 5 assists for the winners. The other American import forward Gerrard Newby (196-1995, college: Union, KY) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Shaquille Maharaj (196-1997, college: Camosun) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and American power forward Shannon Fowler (203-1993, college: UWG) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cougars' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Cougars have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Keysborough maintains first position with 19-2 record. McKinnon at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost.
