Regular Season Round 16: Bulleen B. - Sunbury J. 67-61

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Jets' (11-10) road loss to fifth ranked Boomers (14-7) in Bulleen 61-67 on Sunday. Bulleen made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American power forward Jennie Rintala (188-1990, college: S.Dakota St.) who scored that evening 21 points and 9 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) and Catelyn Van Es supported her with 8 points and 16 rebounds. Even 22 points and 4 steals by American guard Tresai McCarver (165, college: WOU, agency: Crossover Management) did not help to save the game for Sunbury J.. Forward Victoria Ikenasio (185, college: Valdosta St.) added 13 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Bulleen moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sherbrooke S. Loser Jets keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Bulleen will meet Hume City B. (#7) in the next round. Sunbury J. will play against the league's leader Bellarine and hope to secure a win.
