Regular Season Round 6: NZL Breakers - Tasmania JJ 82-65

The most important game in the last round took place in Auckland between third rankedJackJumpers (4-3) and tenth ranked Breakers JackJumpers were defeated by Breakers on the road 65-82 . NZL Breakers dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to JackJumpers 's 38. NZL Breakers outrebounded Tasmania JJ 48-36 including 34 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright (180-1995, college: Arizona) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 6 assists. The other American import guard Izaiah Brockington (193-1999, college: Iowa St.) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. International center Will Magnay (208-1998, college: Tulsa) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Bryce Hamilton (193-2000, college: UNLV) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tasmania JJ. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. NZL Breakers moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Brisbane. Defending champion Tasmania JJ keeps the third position with three games lost.
