ButMagic was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Rockingham 101-87 on Friday night. Rockingham F. looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Forward Blake Jones (208-2002, college: CS Monterey) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Ryan Godfrey (188-1990, college: UWG) chipped in 31 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Flames players scored in double figures. point guard Lachlan Bertram (183-2001) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists and center Jock Perry (216-1997, college: UC Riverside) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
