ButTigers were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Morley 86-70 on Saturday night. East Perth E. forced 24 Willetton T. turnovers and outrebounded them 49-34 including 20 on the offensive glass. Guard Stacey Barr (173-1992, college: Idaho) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and guard Jasmin Fejo (177-2000) supported her with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Eagles players scored in double figures. Even 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Eva Cooke did not help to save the game for Willetton T. . Guard Carla Drennan (181-2000, college: CSUN) added 13 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
