ButSabres were not able to use a home court advantage and were outleveled by the opponent from Dandenong 101-81 on Thursday night. Dandenong R. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center Harrison Froling (210-1998, college: Marquette) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Joe Palmer (193-2001, college: Colorado St.) accounted for 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five Rangers players scored in double figures. The former international guard Kyle Adnam (186-1993) came up with 28 points and naturalized South Sudanese forward Malith Machar (203-1999, college: Midland CC) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Sandringham S. in the defeat. Sabres' coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
