Cougars used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Warrnambool 122-55 on Saturday night. McKinnon C. dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Warrnambool's 42. McKinnon C. forced 31 Warrnambool turnovers and outrebounded them 34-15 including 22 on the defensive glass. McKinnon C. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Warrnambool's players. Guard Emily Suckling (168, college: California, PA) notched 32 points (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and center Sarae Beveridge (187-2003) supported her with 19 points and 5 assists. Five Cougars players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 6 rebounds by Megan Carlin did not help to save the game for Warrnambool. Sienna Stone added 14 points for the guests.
