Regular Season Round 2: Bulleen B. - Pakenham W. 73-94

Date: April 11, 2026
There was a small surprise when Warriors rolled over Steelers in Western Port 94-73 on Saturday. Pakenham W. dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Steelers's 44. Pakenham W. outrebounded Western Port 47-30 including a 34-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pakenham W. looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Western Port's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pakenham W. made 8 blocks. American swingman Tazsa Garrett-Hammett (180, college: UWA) notched 28 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward Bridget Mullings (190, college: GCU, agency: Crossover Management) supported her with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Four Warriors players scored in double figures. Even 20 points by Sofia Ruscitti did not help to save the game for Western Port. Nicola Cross added 14 points and 6 assists for the hosts. Warriors will meet Hume City B. in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Steelers will play against McKinnon C. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
