No shocking result in a game in Morley where second rankedEagles (5-1) defeated 4th placed Senators (4-3) 100-94 on Friday. East Perth E. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Danish swingman Sarah Mortensen (185-1997, college: Villanova) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of her seven free throws). Guard Stacey Barr (173-1992, college: Idaho) helped adding 25 points and 8 rebounds. Eagles' coach Jonelle Morley allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side guard Chloe Forster (178-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 assists and guard Jayda Clark (163-2005) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. East Perth E. maintains second place with 5-1 record having five points less than leader Sandringham S., which they share with BA CoE and Casey. Loser Senators keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Kilsyth and Waverley F..
