There was a minor upset when 4th placedStorm (3-3) was smashed by sixth ranked Cougars (3-2) in Bellarine 94-72 on Saturday. McKinnon C. had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Jennie Rintala (188-1990, college: S.Dakota St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and guard Amy Baum (170, college: USF) accounted for 17 points, 8 assists and 6 steals (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Cougars players scored in double figures. American forward Courtney Strait (180-1994) came up with 14 points and 6 assists and Chantelle Hall added 15 points respectively for Bellarine in the defeat. Storm's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. McKinnon C. moved-up to fifth place. Bellarine lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with three games lost.
