There was a surprise result when thirteenth rankedMustangs (3-5) edged higher ranked Lady Bandits (3-5) in Albury 65-63 on Saturday. The winners were led by American guard Jess Finney (183, college: Loyola, IL) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Kasey Neubert (185, college: San Diego) supported her with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Mustangs' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 11 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Unique Thompson (190-1999, college: Auburn) did not help to save the game for Albury . Guard Emma Mahady (179-1992, college: California, PA) added 17 points for the hosts. Maitland moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Albury .
