There was no surprise when 10th rankedFalcons (4-5) lost to third ranked Wildcats (8-2) in Eltham 76-81 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The winners were led by Lil Dart who scored that evening 30 points and 5 assists and guard Sara-Rose Smith (185-2001, college: Colorado) supported her with 7 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Wildcats' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 16 points and 8 rebounds by American guard Katelyn Shumate (180-2001, college: Kent St.) did not help to save the game for Waverley F. . Her fellow American import forward Madelynn Utti (181-1998, college: LBSU) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Four Waverley F. players scored in double figures. Eltham W. moved-up to second place. Loser Falcons keeps the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Melbourne T. and Kilsyth.
