There was a change at the Big V leadership position after last games. The most shocking disappointment of round 6 was a defeat of league's leaderVenom (5-5). They were crushed by second ranked Suns (7-1) 89-46 on Saturday night. Sherbrooke S. outrebounded Warrandyte V. 50-30 including a 39-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sherbrooke S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Warrandyte V. 's players. American guard Oliana Squires (175-1998, college: Montana St.) had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Emma Pearce chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Suns players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Leah Swain (192-1988) with 9 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman Alaya Fitzgerald (180, college: Portland St.) scored 10 points. Venom's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sherbrooke S. keeps a position of league leader. Warrandyte V. at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Sherbrooke S..
