Not a big story in a game in Inner West where 7th rankedBulls (4-4) were outplayed by third ranked Hawks (7-1) 97-76 on Saturday. Illawarra H. 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Bulls 's 30. Illawarra H. 2 outrebounded Inner WB 52-40 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Todd Blanchfield (198-1991) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Mason Peatling (203-1997, college: EWU) who added 20 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Guard Kobe Shannon (193-2001, college: Midland) responded with 22 points and forward Malok Majak (196-2000) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hawks have an impressive five-game winning streak. Illawarra H. 2 maintains third position with 7-1 record behind leader Norths B., which they share with BA CoE. Loser Bulls keeps the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with Perry Lakes H. and Maitland.
