Regular Season Round 10: Geelong U. - Northern Force 80-88

Date: May 23, 2026
Not a big story in a game in Geelong where 18th ranked United (2-10) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Northern Force (6-7) 88-80 on Saturday. Northern Force looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Northern Force made 7 blocks. The former international forward Keely Froling (188-1996, college: SMU) had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Parker Hill (193-2003, college: Princeton) chipped in 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Hill is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American forward Jordan Vasquez (183, college: CSUSM) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Reagan Bass (188, college: Purdue) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Northern Force have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place. Geelong U. lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth position with ten games lost. Northern Force will meet at home Hobart C. (#14) in the next round. Geelong U. will play against Ballarat M. (#6) in Wendouree and hope to secure a win.
