Very expected game when 7th rankedCougars (4-5) were defeated on the road by first ranked Pacers (7-1) 104-99 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Gippsland Utd made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Matt Berkec (, agency: Dominion Sports Group) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and American swingman Ilisia Washington (194-1998, college: Regis Univ., agency: Dominion Sports Group) who added 15 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. American center Kierell Green (203-1997, college: Edinboro, agency: YoungGroup Unlimited) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 20 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Troyce Manassa (193-1993, college: SSU) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Gippsland Utd and four McKinnon players scored in double figures. Cougars' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pacers have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Gippsland Utd maintains first position with 7-1 record. Loser Cougars keeps the seventh place with five games lost.
