There was a small surprise in Crows Nest where third rankedExcellence (10-1) outleveled top-ranked Norths Bears (10-2) 87-61 on Saturday. It was a key game for the top position in the league. BA CoE dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Norths Bears 's 22 and made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Forward Ajak Nyuon (209-2007) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jai Faale (195-2008) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Lachlan Bofinger (201-2001, college: St.Mary's, TX, agency: Dominion Sports Group) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and guard Ignatius Mitchell (185-2003) added 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side.
