There was no surprise in Terrigal where 15th rankedPanthers (1-8) were defeated by tenth ranked Crusaders (5-7) 89-83 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Cent.Coast C. shot 30 for 40 from the free-throw line, while Penrith only scored thirteen points from the stripe. Cent.Coast C. forced 25 Penrith turnovers and outrebounded them 50-30 including a 19-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cent.Coast C. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized South Sudanese center Matur Maker (208-1998) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Center Aaron Redhead (-1998) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. Four Crusaders players scored in double figures. Simun Krpez produced 32 points and 8 rebounds and Jett Hickson added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cent.Coast C. moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Bendigo and Ringwood. Penrith lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with eight games lost.
