There was a minor upset in Maitland where 5th rankedManly Warringah Sea Eagles (8-3) were crushed by eighth ranked Mustangs (6-5) 85-61 on Sunday. Swingman Will Cranston-Lown (185-2000, college: Regis Univ.) fired 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. The former international guard Reyne Smith (188-2002, college: Louisville) chipped in 28 points. American forward Quinn Slazinski (206-2001, college: WVU) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and Stefan Valkovic (-2001) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Maitland moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Sydney C. and Inner WB. Loser Manly Warringah Sea Eagles dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Willetton T. and Joondalup W..
