There was a surprise result in Inner West where sixteenth rankedBandits (1-10) won against higher ranked Bulls (6-5) 98-80 on Sunday. Albury W.B. outrebounded Inner WB 43-28 including 33 on the defensive glass. American guard Christian Cook (188-2001, college: NM State, agency: Origins Sports Group) fired 28 points and 6 assists for the winners. The other American import forward Kevion Blaylock (198-1994, college: William Penn) chipped in 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Swingman Louis Bleechmore (198, college: Fairfield) produced 21 points and 5 rebounds and Maxwell Clark added 14 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bandits left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with SW Slammers. Loser Bulls keeps the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Sydney C. and Maitland. Albury W.B. will meet at home higher ranked Illawarra H. 2 (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Inner WB will play against Hills H. in Baulkham Hills and hope to secure a win.
