Very expected game when 19th ranked Hawks (1-12) were smashed by tenth ranked Mount Gambier Pioneers (7-6) in Mt Gambier 76-42 on Friday. Mt Gambier held Ringwood to an opponent 24.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.2 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Ringwood 56-34 including a 40-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American guard TiLan Boler (185, college: Memphis, agency: Shark Sports Management) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Grace Champion accounted for 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Indian center Harsimran Kaur (193-2003, college: URI) came up with 7 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Jo Raflo (180, college: Mt.St.Mary's) added 12 points respectively for Ringwood in the defeat. Mt Gambier moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Melbourne T. Ringwood lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the nineteenth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
