There was a minor upset in Alexandria where 8th rankedSydney City Comets (6-7) were rolled over by tenth ranked Sharks (5-5) 87-62 on Saturday. Sutherland dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Sydney City Comets 's 28. It was a great evening for swingman Tyler Robertson (198-2000, college: Portland) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 6 assists. Forward Bailey Macarthur (195-2007) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. American guard Ahmed Barba-Bey (190, college: FDU) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized British forward Obiri Kyei (206-1994, college: Eckerd) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sutherland maintains tenth place with 5-5 record. Loser Sydney City Comets dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with Bendigo and Ringwood.
