There was a small surprise in Terrigal where eighth rankedCrusaders (7-7) won against 5th ranked Canberra G. (8-3) 88-73 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American forward Garric Young (198-1998, college: CSU-Pueblo) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Thomas Akamarmoi (188-1997) helped adding 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Crusaders players scored in double figures. Forward William Mayfield (196-2000) responded with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Evan Wardlow (195-1996, college: CS East Bay) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Crusaders . Cent.Coast C. moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hobart C. Canberra G. lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Kalamunda ES.
