There was an upset when higher rankedForce (2-5) lost to thirteenth ranked Pirates (2-6) in Runcorn 61-74 on Sunday. SW Metro P. outrebounded Ipswich F. 47-30 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. SW Metro P. shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Hannah Simental (173, college: Colorado St.) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Stephanie Bairstow (188-1994, college: Utah St.) accounted for 10 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Pirates players scored in double figures. American swingman Valerie Huerta (176, college: CWU, agency: Crossover Management) came up with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Hannah Young (188-1993, college: Virginia Tech) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Ipswich F. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SW Metro P. moved-up to eleventh place. Ipswich F. at the other side keeps the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with NGC Seahawks.
