Everything went according to plan when eighth rankedSharks (6-4) outplayed 15th ranked Panthers (1-9) in Penrith 88-56 on Sunday. Sutherland dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Panthers 's 14. Sutherland forced 21 Penrith turnovers and outrebounded them 45-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. Sutherland looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for forward Madeleine Norris (175-1998) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Lauren Nicholson (180-1993, college: SMC) accounted for 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. Sharks' coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Argentinian-Spanish center Zulema Garcia Leon (189-1994) came up with 8 points and 13 rebounds and Tatiana Beaumont added 18 points respectively for Penrith in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sharks . Sutherland moved-up to seventh place. Penrith lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with nine games lost.
