There was a small surprise in Bullcreek where tenth rankedRedbacks (5-8) won against 7th ranked Lightning (6-8) 84-68 on Saturday. Perth R. dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Lightning 's 26. Perth R. outrebounded Lakeside L. 47-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. Naturalized British guard Samantha Ashby (178-2001, college: Pacific) stepped up and scored 32 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners and German forward Patricia Brossmann (185-1997, college: San Diego) chipped in 27 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side naturalized British forward Samantha Roscoe (194-1995, college: N.Dakota) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Esmeralda Morales (165-2002, college: Montana St.) scored 21 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Redbacks have a solid series of three victories in a row. Perth R. moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Hills H. Loser Lightning keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Maitland.
