The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

There was a change at the Big V leadership position after last games. Round 15 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Devils (13-4). They were defeated by third ranked Hume City Broncos (12-6) 111-95 on Saturday night. Hume City made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for guard Scott Stone (193-1995, college: St.Cloud St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 6 steals. Guard Malik McKinney (190, college: West Liberty) helped adding 24 points, 9 assists and 4 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Hume City Broncos' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Troyce Manassa (193-1993, college: SSU) with 21 points and 7 assists. Hume City Broncos have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Despite that victory Hume City went down to fourth position due to points difference. Wyndham at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Keysborough. Wyndham will play next round against Blackburn trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Hume City will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Western PS in Western Port.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Hume City Broncos (12-6) against fourth ranked Cougars (13-6) on Sunday night. Host Hume City Broncos were defeated by Cougars in Tullamarine 117-99. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Hume City Broncos. It was an exceptional evening for Mongolian forward Steve Wooten Jr (198-1998, college: Bethesda) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds. Shaquille Maharaj accounted for 27 points and 11 rebounds. Cougars' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Malik McKinney (190, college: West Liberty) came up with 35 points (!!!) and 7 assists (went 13 for 13 at the free throw line !!!) for Hume City in the defeat. McKinnon moved-up to third place. Hume City at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. McKinnon will play against Bellarine (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hume City will play against Western PS (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Pakenham (#5) was upset in Melbourne by eighth ranked Melbourne Uni 100-87. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Warriors. The best player for the winners was Joel Rimes who scored 27 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Tiras Morton who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Melbourne Uni. They moved-up to seventh place. Loser Warriors keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Shepparton. Melbourne Uni will meet at home higher ranked Shepparton (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pakenham will play against Sunbury and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 15: Camberwell lost to Blackburn on the opponent's court 107-112. Bellarine unfortunately lost to Keysborough in a home game 104-122. Sunbury recorded a loss to Shepparton on the road 68-78. Blackburn defeated Western PS on its own court 101-90.




Blackburn - Camberwell 112-107

Everything could happen in Melbourne at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Vikings and their close opponent Camberwell had identical 4-13 record. This time Vikings used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Melbourne 112-107 on Saturday night. The best player for the winners was American guard James Legan (190-1987, college: ECU) who scored 40 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Kortland Martin (180, college: FHU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Jackson Dean who recorded a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (on 14-of-15 shooting from the field) and naturalized Canadian guard Maxwell Barkeley (188-1992, college: Simon Fraser) added 26 points and 13 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Vikings. Blackburn maintains tenth place with 5-13 record. Camberwell lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Western PS. Blackburn will meet at home league's second-placed Wyndham in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Camberwell will play against Western PS (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rather predictable result in Bellarine where second ranked Cougars (14-5) defeated 6th ranked Storm (9-10) 122-104 on Saturday. Keysborough made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Anthony Williams (178-1995, college: Clark Atlanta) who scored 43 points (!!!) and 8 assists. His fellow American import guard Nick Carlson (193-2000, college: St.Scholastica, agency: Warren Sports International) chipped in 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Cougars' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Kavione Green (195, college: Bloomfield) who recorded a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Lewis Varley (186-1993) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Keysborough keeps a position of league leader. Bellarine lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. Keysborough will meet at home Shepparton (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bellarine will play against McKinnon and hope to secure a win.

Pakenham (#5) was upset in Melbourne by eighth ranked Melbourne Uni 100-87. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Warriors. Melbourne Uni looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Warriors' players. The best player for the winners was forward Joel Rimes (196) who scored 27 points and 6 assists. American guard Ricardo Time (188, college: Idaho Coll.) chipped in 23 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Tiras Morton (196, college: LCU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and Canadian forward Joe Davis (196, college: TRU) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Melbourne Uni. They moved-up to seventh place. Not a big story in a game in Shepparton where 9th ranked Jets (7-11) were defeated by seventh ranked Gators (9-8) 78-68 on Saturday. Shepparton dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Jets's 24. Shepparton looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Joshua Kooiman who scored 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Canadian swingman Jayden Coke (199, college: Academy of Art) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Gators players scored in double figures. Gators' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Nathan Baker who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Koby Skenderis added 25 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Shepparton moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Pakenham. Sunbury lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Shepparton will meet league's leader Keysborough on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sunbury will play against Pakenham (#5) and hope to secure a win.

The best player for the winners was American guard James Legan (190-1987, college: ECU) who scored 37 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import Anthony Kimble (196-1987, college: GSU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Worth to mention Kimble played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Five Vikings players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized British forward Paul Brotherson (197-1989, college: MSU Denver) who recorded 27 points and 7 rebounds and Liam Ingram added 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Vikings. Blackburn maintains tenth place with 5-13 record.
