Kalamunda ES - Joondalup W. 68-77

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Suns (4-7) lost to fourth ranked Wanneroo (8-4) in Kalamunda 68-77 on Sunday. Joondalup W. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American swingman CJ Turnage (201-1995, college: SVSU) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and guard Ethan Elliott (190-2004, college: Trinity Baptist) supported him with 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by American guard Terrico White (196-1990, college: Ole Miss) did not help to save the game for Kalamunda ES. Naturalized British forward Lewis Thomas (203-1992, college: WOU) added 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Four Kalamunda ES players scored in double figures. Suns' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Joondalup W. moved-up to third place, which they share with Casey. Loser Suns keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Sandringham S. and HKBA Spiders. Joondalup W. will meet Geraldton B. (#6) in the next round. Kalamunda ES will play against Cockburn (#13) in Hamilton Hill and hope to secure a win.
