There were just three rounds played in Regular Season of NBL One and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Braves defeated United in Bendigo 83-69. Bendigo dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to United's 46. It was a good game for guard Biwali Bayles (185-2002, college: Hawaii) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Jake Lloyd (-1998) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Malang Athian (201, college: Bemidji St.) answered with 14 points and 9 rebounds for Geelong U.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. United will play next round against Mt.Gambier trying to get back on the winning streak. Braves will try to continue on its current victory against Knox R. in Melbourne.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Woodville Warriors (2-1) in Flinders Park. Hosts were defeated by Sturt Sabres (3-0) 81-75. It was a great evening for naturalized Italian forward Jacob Rigoni (198-1998, college: Quinnipiac) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 9 rebounds. Joshua Tomasi helped adding 12 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American power forward Joe Jackson (201-1996, college: IU Southeast) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Sturt Sabres will play against Forestville E. in Goodwood in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Woodville Warriors will play at home against C.District L. and hope to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game was also a 22-point tough home defeat of C.District L. in a game in Gawler versus Eastern M. (#5) 114-92. It was an exceptional evening for Curtis Scott who led the winners and scored 29 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Magok Manyang came up with 28 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for Central District Lions in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Eastern M. will meet at home Southern T. (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. C.District L. will play against Woodville W. (#4) in Flinders Park and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 3: Forestville E. smashed W.Adelaide B. on the road 85-53. N.Adelaide R. won against Southern T. on its own court 119-111. Norwood F. unfortunately lost to S.Adelaide P. in Park Holme 83-87. Kilsyth C. managed to beat Ringwood at home 96-78. Winless Casey lost to undefeated Knox R. on the opponent's court 92-113. Sandringham S. lost to undefeated Dandenong R. in a home game 81-101. Melbourne T. was destroyed by Waverley F. on the road 73-92. Eltham W. unfortunately lost to Keilor T. on its own court 80-93. Lakeside L. managed to beat Rockingham F. in North Lake 95-93. East Perth E. defeated Mandurah at home 113-98. Joondalup W. smashed Perry Lakes H. on the opponent's court 106-78. Kalamunda ES won against Warwick S. in a home game 98-92. Perth R. managed to outperform SW Slammers on the road 89-77. Cockburn lost to undefeated Willetton T. on its own court 82-91.

W.Adelaide B. - Forestville E. 53-85

No shocking result in a game when Forestville Eagles (3-0) crushed Bearcats (1-2) in Woodville 85-53 on Friday. Forestville E. dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Bearcats's 24. Forestville E. outrebounded W.Adelaide B. 46-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Greg Mays (203-1993, college: Green Bay) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Jordan Forbes (193-1998, college: Salem) accounted for 11 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Five Forestville Eagles players scored in double figures. American center Braelen Bridges (210-1999, college: Georgia) came up with 11 points and 9 rebounds and guard Isaac Atuer (-2000) added 12 points respectively for W.Adelaide B. in the defeat. Strangely Southern T. outrebounded N.Adelaide R. 59-47 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Machar Machar who led the winners and scored 29 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. Guard Oskar Jones (185-2004, agency: Crossover Management) accounted for 29 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Forward Che Brogan (198-2006) came up with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Koop McCalop (-1994) added 28 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Southern T. in the defeat. Four N.Adelaide R. and five Southern T. players scored in double figures. Rockets will meet Norwood F. (#8) in the next round. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers will play against Eastern M. in Mt. Eastern Mavericks looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for guard Curtis Scott (190-2003, college: Ottawa, KS) who led the winners and scored 29 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward BJ Symons (-1998) accounted for 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Forward Magok Manyang (206-2002, college: MACU) came up with 28 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and forward Ayual Garang (-2002) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Central District Lions in the defeat. S.Adelaide P. dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Norwood Flames's 22. S.Adelaide P. had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Jeremy Smith (190-1991, college: Nicholls) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 6 rebounds. Ukrainian forward Yevgen Sakhniuk (201-1995, college: Jefferson) accounted for 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Five South Adelaide Panthers players scored in double figures. New Zealand guard Campbell Scott (187-2004) came up with 36 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and point guard Cooper Osborne (183-2004) added 16 points and 7 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) respectively for Norwood F. in the defeat. American guard Philmon Gebrewhit (203-1998, college: NIU) came up with 22 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import center Jhaylon Martinez (211-2001, college: Niagara) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for SW Slammers in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Redbacks will meet at home Willetton T. (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Slammers will play against Rockingham F. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
