Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Boomers will play next round against Warrandyte V. trying to get back on the winning streak. Very important is a home loss of Suns against Hume City Broncos on Saturday night. Host Suns were crushed by Hume City Broncos in Upwey 73-48. Kelly Heimburger notched 16 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds by Emma Pearce did not help to save the game for Sherbrooke S.. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hume City Broncos will meet at home Bellarine in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Suns will have a break next round.
