Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Flames as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Flames edged 12th ranked Giants in Rockingham 110-107. Rockingham F. made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game, while Goldfields G. only scored seven points from the stripe. Rockingham F. looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. It was a good game for international guard Isaac White (188-1998, college: CBU) who led his team to a victory with 36 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Emmett Naar (185-1994, college: SMC) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 15 assists for the winners. Swingman Joshua Duach (197-2003, college: Iona) answered with 36 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists for Goldfields G.Flames have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 3 other teams. Goldfields G. lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Goldfields G. will play next round against strong Kalamunda ES trying to get back on the winning streak. Rockingham F. will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Warwick S. in Perth.
Undefeated Thunder (4-1) recorded its first loss in Loganholme. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Rollers (5-1) 104-96. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Thunder. It was a key game for the second position in the league. American guard Jimmy Whitt (190-1997, college: Arkansas) stepped up and scored 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Preston Le Gassick chipped in 24 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was forward Callum Dalton (206-2000) with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Rollers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Gold Coast R. moved-up to second place. Logan T. at the other side dropped to the third position with one game lost. Gold Coast R. will play against Rockhampton (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Logan T. will have a break next round.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked Spectres (8-3) against twelfth ranked Cavaliers (6-5) on Saturday night. Host Spectres were defeated by Cavaliers in a tough game in East Burwood 95-103. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Spectres. Tanner Krebs nailed 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Jack Gandolfo came up with 26 points and 6 assists for Nunawading S. in the defeat. Casey moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Spectres keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Knox R. and Eltham W.. Casey will meet Mt.Gambier (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nunawading S. will play against Sandringham S. (#11) and hope to secure a win.

Norths B. beat Cent.Coast C. in a home game 107-90. BA CoE destroyed Hills H. on the road 88-69. Penrith unfortunately lost to Illawarra H. 2 on its own court 84-94. Mackay was rolled over Rockhampton in a road game 85-104. Winless NGC Seahawks were defeated by SD Spartans at home 83-97. Brisbane C. was beaten by Ipswich F. on the opponent's court 97-85. Northside W. lost to Townsville H. in a home game 96-99. Winless SW Metro P. unfortunately lost to Gold Coast R. on the road 96-114. SC Phoenix managed to beat Townsville H. on its own court 86-75. Mt.Gambier was defeated by Eltham W. in a road game 95-77. Casey smashed Bendigo at home 109-76. Kilsyth C. won against Keilor T. on the opponent's court 99-88. Frankston B. unfortunately lost to Waverley F. in a home game 84-88. Ringwood recorded a loss to Sandringham S. on the road 89-98. Northern Force was crushed by Dandenong R. on its own court 93-116. Mt.Gambier beat Bendigo in Mt Gambier 94-82. Ballarat M. was destroyed by Melbourne T. at home 82-108. Diamond V.E. was outscored by Hobart C. on the opponent's court 107-78. Geelong U. was rolled over Knox R. in a home game 75-103. Diamond V.E. crushed Northern Force on the road 112-82. Hobart C. was beaten by Dandenong R. on its own court 94-98. Mandurah lost to Kalamunda ES in a road game 97-100. Willetton T. unfortunately lost to Rockingham F. at home 100-115. Cockburn rolled over Warwick S. on the opponent's court 112-85. Joondalup W. crushed Goldfields G. in a home game 96-67. SW Slammers were smashed by Geraldton B. on the road 93-58. Perry Lakes H. lost to Warwick S. on its own court 108-116. East Perth E. unfortunately lost to Cockburn in Hamilton Hill 94-107. Perth R. recorded a loss to Lakeside L. at home 93-99.

Canberra G. - Bankstown B. 96-92

No shocking result in a game when leader Canberra G. (8-0) beat at home 9th ranked Bruins (4-6) 96-92 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Canberra G. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Forward William Mayfield (196-2000) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and center Glenn Morison (208-1999, college: St.Edward's) accounted for 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Zeke Evans (204-2003) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and forward Alex Higgins-Titsha (201-2000) added 15 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Bankstown B. in the defeat. Four Canberra G. and five Bankstown B. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Canberra G.. They moved-up to second place. Bankstown B. lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with six games lost.
