Australian NBL One round 13 best performance: Kody Stattmann (by Hoops Agents)

International Swingman Kody Stattmann (202-F/G-2000) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Cairns Marlins, receiving a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (40 points, nine rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass Rockhampton R. (#13, 2-9) with 33-point margin 118-85. It allowed Marlins to consolidate first place in the Australian NBL One. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Cairns M. keeps a perfect 9-0 record. In the team's last game Stattmann had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Marlins, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former The University of Virginia star has very solid stats this year. Stattmann is in league's top in points (4th best: 28.2ppg) and averages impressive 65.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Lachlan Anderson (206-F-1997) of Ipswich Force. Anderson had a very good evening with 40 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Force to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Northside W. (#10, 3-7) 121-81. This victory allowed Ipswich F. to move up to 6th position in North. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Anderson is one of the most experienced players at Ipswich F. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American center Braelen Bridges (210-C-1999) of West Adelaide Bearcats (#8). Bridges showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 17 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Bearcats, leading his team to a 103-81 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Eastern M. (#7, 5-8). The chances of W.Adelaide B. not to end season at such low position in Central, however are less than slim as they have already lost 9 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Bridges could try to bring W.Adelaide B.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Bridges has a very solid season. In 13 games in Australia he scored 18.5ppg. He also has 9.3rpg and a FGP of 72.3%.
