Australia - Tahiti 163-13 Australia secured the winning start to their Oceania Championship campaign. They crushed Tahiti in the opener. Nine players scored in double digits for the Sapphires. Miela Goodchild (175-G/F-00) delivered 28 points for the winners. Australia held Tahiti to one point in the first period to open a 38-point lead. The Sapphires eased to the victory afterwards. New Caledonia - Palau 118-29 New Caledonia stunned Palau in Group B. Eight players scored in double digits for the winners. Fiona Peu (176-F-00) provided 21 points in the victory. New Caledonia recorded a 51:19 halftime lead. They poured in 67 points in the second half to seal the win. Cassandree Canaldo (170-SF-00) had 19 points in the victory.
