Group ASamoa - Australia 27-111Australia cruised past Samoa to earn the third victory in a row. Miela Goodchild (175-G/F-00) tallied 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the Sapphires. Australia ensured a 56:16 halftime lead. They held Samoa to just 11 points in the second half and raced to the win. Emma Clarke (183-G/F-99) and Darcy Rees (192-C-00) had 19 points each for Australia. Taylor Muaulu (01) responded with 11 points for Samoa. Marshall Islands - Tahiti 33-101 Tahiti celebrated the opening victory in Guam. They beat Marshall Islands for 1-2 record. Hereiti Salem (02) stepped up with 18 points for the winners. Tahiti recorded a 48:13 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the win. Leilanie Teraimateata (01) had 16 points for the winning side. Eskella Joseph (157-G-00) responded with 6 points for Marshall Islands. Group BNew Caledonia - Guam 71-79Guam beat New Caledonia to ensure the semifinal birth. Mia San-Nicolas (01) came up with 29 points and 22 rebounds for the hosts. Guam claimed a 40:33 halftime advantage. New Caledonia pulled within a single point at the final intermission. But Guam sank 24 points in the fourth term to get away with the victory. Haley Senne (00) netted 18 points for Guam. Cassandree Canaldo (170-SF-00) answered with 13 points for New Caledonia. New Zealand - Palau 135-8 New Zealand coasted past Palau to enter the semifinal stage unbeaten. Lawrin Tipene (180-F-00) provided 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 steals in the win. New Zealand used a massive 62:0 run at the start of the game and never looked back en route to the victory. Tsubasa Nisbet (181-F-00) chipped in 21 points in the win. Cheyenne Ngiralmau (02) responded with 3 points for Palau. |
