New Zealand and Australia to clash for title in Paita

New Zealand - Samoa 84-26
New Zealand knocked down Samoa to reach the championship game in New Caledonia. New Zealand registered a 46:12 halftime lead. They held Samoa to only 14 points in the second half to race to the victory. Hannah Matehaere (178-SF-02), Arielle Williams (177-SG-02) and Ashlee Strawbridge (178-SF-02) notched 12 points apiece for the Kiwis. J'Adore Limu (168-SF-03) netted 9 points for Samoa.

Australia - Tahiti 139-16
Nine players scored in double digits as Australia demolished Tahiti in the semifinal game. Olivia Pollerd (187-C-02) and Paige Price (184-F-03) came up with 20 points apiece for the winning side. Australia unloaded 76 points in the first half to clear off for good. Mahinetea Tavanae (176-G-03) produced 4 points for Tahiti.
5-6 Place
New Caledonia - Guam 72-75
Guam held off New Caledonia to earn the fifth position at the championship. New Caledonia eked out a 32:31 halftime lead. Guam went on a 24:19 run in the third term to take a 4-point lead. New Caledonia dropped 21 points in the fourth period but could not escape the loss. Alana Salas (157-PG-02) stepped up with 37 points for Guam. Celia Puleoto (03) netted 24 points and collected 10 rebounds in the loss.
