Australia celebrated Gold medals in New Caledonia. They fired past their archrivals New Zealand in the Final today. Australia posted a 46:24 halftime lead. Australia followed with a massive 42:17 second half run to ice the win. Jade Melbourne (176-F/G-02) provided 21 points and 7 assists, while Gemma Potter (182-F/C-02) added 15 points for the champions. Emilee Tahata (180-SF-02) replied with 8 points for New Zealand.
3-4 Place
Tahiti - Samoa 62-56
Tahiti toppled Samoa to step onto the pedestal in New Caledonia. Hereiti Salem scored 22 points as Tahiti claim the Bronze medals. Tahiti and Samoa tied things up at 25 at the interval. However Tahiti went on a 24:15 run in the third period to clear off for good. Mahinetea Tavanae (176-G-03) netted 15 points for the winners. Charlize Lealiiee (165-G-03) replied with 14 points for Samoa.
