Australia celebrate Gold in Port Moresby. They beat New Zealand in the championship game today. Lara Somfai (192-C-2007) posted 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the champions. Australia recorded a 46-33 halftime lead. Australia held their opponents to just 24 points in the second half and raced to the title. Saffron Shiels (187-C-2006) netted 14 points for Australia. Kavanah Lene (175-G-2006) replied with game-high 27 points and 8 rebounds for New Zealand.

Samoa - Papua New Guinea 135-47

Samoa overcame Papua New Guinea to finish third at the championship. Eight player scored in double digits for the winners with Kira-May Filemu (178-F-2006) leading the way with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Samoa unloaded 80 points in the second half to breeze to the victory. Malia Ruud (188-C-2006) posted 21 points and 13 rebounds for Samoa. Clarice Hane (2007) notched 17 points for Papua New Guinea.
