Queensland claimed the Under-20 Men's title - May 7, 2021

After five days of outstanding, elite-level basketball, Queensland claimed the Under-20 Men's title, while New South Wales Blue broke the decade long dominance of Victoria to take home the gold medal at this year's Championships contested at McDonald's Mackay Multi-Sports Stadium from 3 - 7 May. Queensland went through the tournament undefeated and met invitational team, NBA Global Academy in the Gold Medal Game. The NBAGA ran out victors in his Game, 90-69, but as they are ineligible to win the title, it was the Queenslanders who were crowned the best state or territory in Australia for 2021. For his outstanding tournament, Queensland Captain Blake Jones (206-PF-02) was named the recipient of the Bob Staunton Medal.
New South Wales Blue secured the gold medal after defeating Victoria 76-63, ending Victoria's dominance of the Women Under-20 division for the past decade. Queensland completed their tournament with a 90-63 victory over New South Wales White to claim Bronze. The Bob Staunton Medal for the most outstanding player in the Women's event for 2021 was awarded to Chyra Evans (03) of New South Wales Blue.
In the Ivor Burge Championship for men, South Australia Red made it a three-peat of championships taking home the title of Australian Champion after defeating Victoria in the Gold Medal Game, 89-70. Tasmania claimed the bronze medal following their 122-63 win over Western Australia. The Ivor Burge Most Outstanding Player for the 2021 Championships was Tasmania's Jerimiah Lowe.
