The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Sturt Sabres (13-3) in Pasadena on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked West Adelaide Bearcats (7-8) 78-73. It was a great evening for Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-91, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. Fabian Johnson helped adding 20 points and 4 assists. Guard Sam Daly (193-95, college: Chaminade) responded with 26 points. Sturt Sabres' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. West Adelaide Bearcats moved-up to seventh place in League. Sturt Sabres at the other side still keep top position with three games lost. West Adelaide Bearcats will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sturt Sabres will play again at home against West Adelaide Bearcats and are hoping to win this game.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Goodwood. Second ranked host Forestville Eagles (11-5) defeated 3rd placed Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (9-7) 86-80. It was an exceptional evening for Michael Harris who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Malith Machar accounted for 18 points and 13 rebounds. American Cameron Coleman (198-92, college: York, NE) came up with 26 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for Noarlunga City Southern Tigers in the defeat. Forestville Eagles maintains second place in League with 11-5 record having nine points less than leader Perry Lakes H. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Forestville Eagles will play against Mount Gambier Pioneers (#4) in Mt Gambier in the next round. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers will have a break next round.
State League top team - Hawks (16-4) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Suns (4-16) in Floreat 113-65. The best player for the winners was Andrew Ferguson who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Cooper Lowe produced 19 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hawks maintains first place in League with 16-4 record. Loser Suns keep the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Hawks will meet at home Senators (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Suns will play against Eagles (#12) in Morley and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In League S.Adelaide P. were destroyed by C.District L. on the opponent's court 84-61. N.Adelaide R. unfortunately lost to Norwood F. in a home game 83-98. Winless Eastern M. was rolled over Woodville W. on the road 62-118. Perth R. was defeated by Mandurah M. on its own court 80-93. SW Slammers was smashed by Willetton T. in a road game 102-74. Geraldton B. were destroyed by Cockburn C. at home 52-79. East Perth E. was outscored by Goldfields G. on the opponent's court 87-59. Lakeside L. managed to beat Perth R. in a home game 112-96. Joondalup W. defeated SW Slammers on the road 83-75. Warwick S. were beaten by Willetton T. on its own court 95-100.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 39 points (!!!), 12 rebounds, 15 assists and 5 steals by Julian Jacobs of Woodville W..
