However their fans expected easier game. Keysborough looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American point guard Anthony Williams (178-1995, college: Clark Atlanta) fired 32 points and 5 assists for the winners. The other American import forward Gerrard Newby (196-1995, college: Union, KY) chipped in 21 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Shaquille Maharaj (196-1997, college: Camosun) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Cougars' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Cougars have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Keysborough maintains first position with 19-2 record. McKinnon at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. Keysborough are looking forward to face league's second-placed Hume City in Tullamarine in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. McKinnon will play on the road against Shepparton and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.

Visiting Hume City Broncos were defeated by Warriors in a tough game in Pakenham 80-89. Stephen Coffey contributed with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 16-point difference proves that Vikings was well-prepared to that game. At the losing side Sean Conway responded with 42 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!). Blackburn maintains twelfth position with 4-17 record.
