The most important game in the last round took place in Auckland between third ranked JackJumpers (4-3) and tenth ranked Breakers (2-5) on Friday night. JackJumpers were defeated by Breakers on the road 65-82. NZL Breakers dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to JackJumpers's 38. NZL Breakers outrebounded Tasmania JJ 48-36 including 34 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright (180-1995, college: Arizona) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 6 assists. The other American import guard Izaiah Brockington (193-1999, college: Iowa St.) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. International center Will Magnay (208-1998, college: Tulsa) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for Tasmania JJ. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. NZL Breakers moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Brisbane. Defending champion Tasmania JJ keeps the third position with three games lost. NZL Breakers is looking forward to face league's leader Melbourne Utd on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Tasmania JJ will have a break next round.

The best for the losing side was naturalized South Sudanese center Jo Lual-Acuil (213-1994, college: Baylor) with 18 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Brisbane maintains eighth position with 2-5 record, which they share with NZL Breakers. Perth at the other side keeps the fourth place with two games lost. Brisbane will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. NBL top team - United (6-0) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat eighth ranked Bullets (2-5) in Brisbane 95-86. Chris Goulding notched 22 points to lead the effort. United's coach Dean Vickerman used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Even 29 points and 5 assists by Jaylen Adams did not help to save the game for Brisbane. Undefeated United have an impressive six-game winning streak. Melbourne Utd maintains first position with 6-0 record. Loser Bullets keeps the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with NZL Breakers. Melbourne Utd will meet at home NZL Breakers (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Brisbane will have a break next round.
In the last two games of round 6 Sydney was beaten by Tasmania JJ on the road 86-70. Adelaide won against SE Melbourne on its own court 88-71.
