There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in NBL One. The round was exceptionally exciting as five games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The biggest surprise of round 2 in NBL One took place in Hobart where host Chargers edged Blues 87-84 on Saturday evening. 27 personal fouls committed by Frankston B. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Luke Rosendale (194-2001) who scored 32 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Jacob Richards (200-2001) chipped in 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Austin Shelley (190-2002, college: WTAM) produced 20 points and 4 assists for the guests. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Forestville Eagles defeated South Adelaide Panthers in Goodwood 97-79. American forward Greg Mays (203-1993, college: Green Bay) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Daniel Johnson contributed with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Rio Bruton replied with 23 points for S.Adelaide P.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. South Adelaide Panthers will play next round against Norwood F. trying to get back on the winning streak. Forestville Eagles will try to continue on its current victory against W.Adelaide B. at Woodville.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Bearcats at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by Woodville Warriors 87-85. Awak Machar scored 37 points (!!!) to lead the charge for the winners. Braelen Bridges responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Woodville Warriors will meet at home Sturt S. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bearcats will play against Forestville E. and hope to win that game.

Winless Newcastle F. was defeated by Hills H. on its own court 75-78. Bankstown B. lost to undefeated BA CoE in Canberra 89-97. Winless HKBA Spiders lost to undefeated Illawarra H. 2 at home 80-97. Bankstown B. managed to outperform Albury W.B. on the opponent's court 107-96. Winless HKBA Spiders recorded a loss to Cent.Coast C. in a home game 77-89. Norths B. defeated Mt.Gambier on the road 80-70. Inner WB beat Hills H. on its own court 93-84. Sydney C. won against Sutherland in Alexandria 77-65. Winless Maitland lost to undefeated Illawarra H. 2 at home 78-91. Winless Penrith lost to undefeated BA CoE on the opponent's court 57-75. Winless Manly Warr. lost to undefeated Canberra G. in a home game 75-80. Sandringham S. smashed Waverley F. on the road 86-65. Ballarat M. won against Diamond V.E. on its own court 112-97. Nunawading S. outscored Northern Force in East Burwood 101-59. Winless Ringwood recorded a loss to Mt.Gambier at home 95-98. Knox R. defeated Keilor T. on the opponent's court 93-88. Winless Diamond V.E. lost to undefeated Eltham W. in a home game 66-76. Bendigo won against Ballarat M. on the road 89-79. Dandenong R. managed to outperform Casey on its own court 92-81. Kilsyth C. managed to beat Geelong U. in a road game 74-62. Winless Northern Force was defeated by Frankston B. at home 89-103. Nunawading S. lost to undefeated Hobart C. on the opponent's court 85-87. Winless Lakeside L. lost to undefeated Joondalup W. in a home game 82-109. SW Slammers managed to outperform Goldfields G. on the road 78-74. Willetton T. managed to beat East Perth E. on its own court 96-82. Rockingham F. defeated Mandurah in a road game 101-87. Kalamunda ES beat Lakeside L. at home 92-87. Cockburn destroyed Perth R. on the opponent's court 106-84. Warwick S. managed to outperform Perry Lakes H. in a home game 92-82.

Melbourne T. - Mt.Gambier 98-77

There was an upset in Melbourne where Pioneers were crushed by Tigers 98-77 on Sunday. Melbourne T. dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Pioneers's 40. Melbourne T. outrebounded Mt.Gambier 46-25 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Melbourne T. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Mt.Gambier's players. Forward George Blagojevic (203-1997, college: Hartford) had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Tom Wilson (195-1997, college: SMU) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Tigers' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Elijah-Taye Saifaleupolu responded with 19 points and New Zealand forward Scott Telfer (196-1998) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tigers will meet Waverley F. in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Pioneers will have a break next round.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Bearcats at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by Woodville Warriors 87-85. Woodville W. forced 20 W.Adelaide B. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Woodville W. made 8 blocks. Guard Awak Machar (198-2004, college: Baton Rouge) scored 37 points (!!!) to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Bennett Sherry (198, college: Coe) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks during the contest.
