The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Excellence (13-5) in Narrabeen on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (11-3) 87-72. Manly Warr. made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. American forward Quinn Slazinski (206-2001, college: WVU) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!) (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners and Canadian forward Emmanuel Tshimanga (213-2001, college: NM State) chipped in 19 points and 15 rebounds. At the losing side forward Ajak Nyuon (209-2007) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have a solid series of three victories in a row. Manly Warr. maintains fourth place with 11-3 record. BA CoE at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. Manly Warr. are looking forward to face league's second-placed Illawarra H. 2 in Wollongong in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BA CoE will play on the road against Sutherland and is hoping to win this game.
Very significant was Knox R.'s (#1) 104-95 road victory against their biggest opponent Nunawading S.. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Spectres. It was a key game for the top position in the league. American forward Trazarien White (198, college: TCU) nailed 28 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and Tad Dufelmeier accounted for 20 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Christian DAngelo (191-2003) came up with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for Spectres in the defeat. Knox R. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-4 record. Nunawading S. at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. Knox R. will play against Waverley F. (#15) in Mount Waverley in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Nunawading S. will play at home against Ringwood (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Thirteenth-ranked Ringwood Hawks (7-8) gave a tough game to first ranked Raiders (12-4) in Melbourne on Saturday. Raiders managed to secure only three-point victory 104-101. However their fans expected much easier game. Kobe Williamson fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Jonathan Lawton produced 25 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Ringwood Hawks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Raiders have a solid series of four victories in a row. Knox R. maintains first place with 12-4 record. Loser Ringwood Hawks dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with East Perth E.. Knox R. will meet at home Waverley F. (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Ringwood will play against Nunawading S. (#3) in East Burwood and hope to secure a win.

Rather expected game in Greenacres where 9th ranked Rockets (3-10) were edged by seventh ranked Central District Lions (6-7) 90-87 on Saturday. C.District L. dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Rockets's 38. C.District L. had a 39-28 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Deng Manyang (201-2007) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Koen Sapwell (193-1999, college: CS Monterey) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. American swingman Kaden Archie (198-2000, college: Georgia South) produced 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import power forward Burke Smith (211-2000, college: Pacific) added 10 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Rockets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
