The round was exceptionally exciting as six games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Forestville Eagles as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Forestville Eagles edged 9th ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers in Goodwood 93-90. Forestville E. outrebounded Southern T. 42-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. Forestville E. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Forestville E. made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Daniel Johnson (212-1988, college: Pepperdine) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Greg Mays (203-1993, college: Green Bay) contributed with 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Harvey White (191-2005) replied with 28 points and 7 assists for Southern T.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Southern T. lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with N.Adelaide R.. Southern T. will play next round against strong C.District L. trying to get back on the winning streak. Forestville E. will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Norwood F. in Marden.
The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Rip City (1-1) on the court of first ranked Mackay Meteors. Visitors were rolled over by Mackay Meteors 117-77. The former international swingman Todd Blanchfield (198-1991) scored 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Isaac White chipped in 24 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side point guard Kobe McDowell-White (183-2004) responded with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mackay Meteors have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. USC Rip at the other side keeps the fifteenth place with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Sixth-ranked Bulls (9-6) were very close to win a game against first ranked Canberra Gunners (14-2) on Saturday. Canberra Gunners managed to secure only one-point victory 97-96. However their fans expected much easier game. Glenn Morison notched a double-double by scoring 28 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort. Even 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) by Alex Higgins-Titsha did not help to save the game for Inner WB. Bulls' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Canberra G. maintains first position with 14-2 record. Loser Bulls keeps the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Hobart C.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Logan T. defeated SW Metro P. in Loganholme 95-91. Geelong U. beat Melbourne T. at home 72-66. Waverley F. won against Diamond V.E. on the opponent's court 102-97. Knox R. outscored Bendigo in a home game 97-72. Sandringham S. managed to beat NW Tasmania on the road 94-80. Ringwood was defeated by Keilor T. on its own court 70-77. Dandenong R. beat Ballarat M. in a road game 86-84. Casey was destroyed by Eltham W. at home 71-100. Nunawading S. managed to outperform Frankston B. on the opponent's court 102-93. Kilsyth C. recorded a loss to Mt.Gambier in a home game 81-90. Warwick S. was defeated by Mandurah on the road 107-103. SW Slammers were beaten by East Perth E. on its own court 89-95. They outrebounded W.Adelaide B. 54-38 including 40 on the defensive glass. American swingman Branden Jenkins (196-1994, college: TxWes, agency: AltusBasket) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and guard Koen Sapwell (193-1999, college: CS Monterey) supported him with 27 points. Jenkins is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Central District Lions players scored in double figures.
